About

Permanent Cosmetics today are being applied through a process know as Micropigmentology: Micro-insertions of pigment placed under the skin.

Color is being implanted under the top layers of the epidermis down to the dermal layer. Facial tissue is different from the tissue on the rest of the body. Inks or dyes are not to be used on the face. We use pigments that have been specifically formulated for permanent cosmetics. Natural Looking Permanent Makeup is the trademark of Advanced Dermagraphics.

Permanent Cosmetics: Basics, Tips, and Procedures

Permanent Cosmetics is a multi-application procedure that requires two applications of color to be scheduled 6 to 8 weeks apart in order to achieve the end result.

Practitioners and technicians must have been specifically trained in facial enhancements i.e. eyebrows, eyeliner, lips and must be licensed by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in the state of Virginia.

When choosing a permanent cosmetic practitioner they should provide you with proof of their license, credentials and professional references.

The procedures take approximately one and a half to two hours. For Eyebrow procedures, placement and design are critical. A patch test is performed 7 to 10 days before the actual procedure to make sure there is no adverse or allergic reaction. Adverse and allergic reactions are very rare, but we always want to patch test to be safe.

After the completion of the procedure the patient will see a significant improvement in there overall appearance. They should be pleased they made the decision to have Advanced Dermagraphics perform Eyebrows, Eyeliner or Lip color that is smear, smudge and waterproof. It can truly be one of the best decisions you will ever make!
